| COSTING & SOURCING ENGINEER · Review and understand the BOM / packages provided by customer prior to RFQ activities. · Create BOM & AVL with structured into Excel format. · Ensure drawings or specifications are available where there is no proper AVL to quote. · Send structured final BOM & AVL with issue list to program manager / customer for clarifications if any. · Send RFQ to suppliers to obtain quotation. · If any of the suppliers come with Issues like no price / EOL / Part no etc , pass the information to the customer through program manager. · Consolidate and analyse the quotes from the suppliers and make a final costing sheet. · Find highest value items 80% of total material value for the bid and negotiate with suppliers to improve on pricing. · Findout the alternates if required for cost reduction and customer agrees. · Check the shipment consolidation possibility to reduce the logistics cost and arrive the logistics cost. · Finalise the BOM cost with Logistics cost and send to program manager. · Get the approval of BOM from the customer/Engg team before starting the production. · Before starting the production ensure that all the parameters with respect to the suppliers, parts are updated in the system. Ø End user and admin level expert of software’s related to Quote Management and Material Cost Management System Software’s (Tradec/Agile, QuoteWin). · QuoteWin regional admin for Europe region (Setup Users, Suppliers, Manufacture etc). · Working on identifying the new ways related to our process to improved the quality and reduce the time of work using this software. · Helping and giving solution to team if there is any structure change required to there project after the project has been loaded or before loading. | |
